Drupal compared to FileMaker Pro

FileMaker Pro simplifies the task of building a database from scratch by providing a user interface, but it suffers the same shortcomings as building a database: no web-based interface other than a web-based version of FileMaker’s own interface. It is also proprietary and fairly expensive, costing hundreds of dollars for a license.

If you have already built a database using FileMaker, the Feeds: Filemaker module can be used in conjunction with Feeds (see chapter 14) to import your data into Drupal, though in some cases it may be more straightforward to simply export your data out of FileMaker as CSV files, and import them using that format.
